The Comprehensive R Archive Network (CRAN) is a network of ftp and web servers around the world that store identical, up-to-date, versions of code and documentation for R. Currently, the CRAN package repository features more than 10300 available packages.

CRAN Task Views organize packages into clusters by related topic (in fields such as Finance, Genetics, High Performance Computing, Machine Learning, Medical Imaging, Social Sciences, Spatial Statistics and many others). Each task view briefly introduces the corresponding topic and gives a short overview of related packages.
